Q.
How soon can we meet to discuss my project and when will I
receive an estimate? Generally
we are able to schedule a visit to your site within the same
week we receive your call. We strive to have your proposal
prepared and emailed within three days of our visit.
Q. Am I required
to make a down payment?
We
require a down payment of 1/3 the proposed amount upon acceptance
of the proposal. An additional 1/3 will be required on the
start date. We will conduct a final walk through of the project
on the day of completion to ensure your satisfaction and answer
any final questions you may have. The remaining 1/3 is due
at this time.
Q. When will my
job be scheduled?
We schedule jobs in the order we receive signed proposals/down
payments. We must sometimes shuffle job order dependent on
weather.
Q. Can you recommend
an irrigation system company?
Certainly! We have an established relationship with two highly reputable and professional companies. Call us for details.
Q. Can my job
be completed in phases?
We are happy to work with you to establish a multi-phase plan
to achieve all your landscape desires within your budget.
Q. We would like
a water feature but we have small children.
A
wonderful option would be a pondless water fall in which there
is no standing water—or ask about our water bubbling boulders!
Q. What is an
“Outdoor Living Area”?
It
is an outdoor extension of your home which allows you to entertain,
spend time with your family or just unwind after a long day.
Outdoor kitchens are becoming increasingly popular.
There
is no better way to savor the summer than to eat outdoors.
Integrate a dining area into this space and establish a perfect
area for gatherings! To ward off chilly nights and create
an intimate space for relaxation a fireplace or fire ring
is an essential component. A pergola helps keep the open air
feeling but provides some relief from the hot afternoon sun.

Q. What is the
proper way to water my new investment?
Early morning is the best time for irrigation. Water loss
from evaporation will be less and the turf will dry quickly
in the morning. On average, plantings will usually require
1.5 to 2 inches of water per week . New lawns should be watered
2-3 times per day keeping the top 1/4” wet. Shrubs and other
plants should be watered at the base of the plants.
Q. Should I fertilize
my lawn?
A
well-fed lawn has a better root system to combat heat, cold,
drought, and foot traffic. This can be obtained with three
to four feedings a year.
Q. When should
I mow my new lawn and how often?
Wait to mow until your new lawn is nearly 5” tall. Be sure
to set the mower on the highest setting to avoid pulling new
roots. Never remove more than 1/3 the blade length. Leave
grass longer in dry hot weather to help keep the ground cool
and slow evaporation.
